Privacy Policy

We collect only the information needed to run your business account:

• Account & business details — owner name, email address, phone number, business name, business type and location.
• Customer records you enter — the names, phone numbers and email addresses of customers you choose to save.
• Business activity — products, services, inventory levels, sales and receipts, expenses, appointments, and M-Pesa payment records (transaction code, amount, date) that you manually record.
• Subscription information — your current plan (Starter, Business or Premium) and its status.
• Technical data — basic sign-in session information required to keep you securely logged in.

We do not collect payment card numbers, and we do not connect to your bank or M-Pesa account. M-Pesa entries are recorded manually by you for your own bookkeeping.

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To provide the app’s features — recording sales, generating receipts, tracking inventory, expenses, customers and appointments, and producing your business reports.
• To manage your subscription plan and the features available to you.
• To keep the service reliable and secure, and to prevent misuse.

We do not sell your data or your customers’ data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Each business account’s data is kept private to that account. Other businesses using BizTrack KE cannot see your products, sales, customers, receipts or reports. Access to your data requires signing in with your account credentials.

When you save your customers’ details, you are responsible for handling that information lawfully — including collecting it fairly and only keeping what you need. You can edit or delete customer records at any time from within the app.

Your data is stored on secured, hosted infrastructure. Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way encryption (hashing) and are never stored in plain text. We use access controls so that data is only served to the signed-in account it belongs to. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

We keep your business data for as long as your account is active so your records and reports remain available to you. If you delete a record it is removed from your active data. If you close your account, your associated data is removed or anonymised, except where we must retain limited information to meet a legal obligation.

We share information only with the hosting and infrastructure providers that operate the app on our behalf, and only to the extent needed to run the service, or where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

• You can view and update your account and business details in Settings.
• You can add, edit and delete your products, services, customers, sales, expenses and other records.
• You can request deletion of your account and its data by contacting us.

BizTrack KE is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated within the app where appropriate.
